Job Description

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including raw materials, spare parts, consumables, and finished products.
  • Conduct regular stock audits to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize stockouts, excess inventory, and obsolescence.
  • Procurement:
  • Coordinate with procurement department to forecast material requirements and place purchase orders as per production schedules.
  • Evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Monitor vendor performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
  • Warehousing and Storage:
  • Organize storage areas to optimize space utilization and facilitate efficient material handling.
  • Implement proper labeling, packaging, and shelving systems to enhance accessibility and traceability.
  • Enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Material Handling:
  • Supervise the receipt, inspection, and acceptance of incoming materials, verifying quantity and quality against purchase orders.
  • Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to prioritize material issuance and distribution.
  • Implement procedures for handling hazardous materials and maintaining environmental compliance.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive records of transactions, including receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments.
  • Generate reports on inventory status, consumption trends, and procurement activities for management review.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and inventory optimization.
