Job Description

Develop proposals, title lists, authorization letters for tender submissions, and invitational letters for customers attending book fairs. Prepare various supporting documents for potential customers. • Manage mailings of new title information, providing Price and Availability Quotes, and handling proforma invoices. Address discount and other queries effectively. • Coordinate the generation of invoices/credit notes, courier quotes, and order reconciliation. Assist credit control and agents in payment follow-ups. Maintain and update the Proforma Pipeline, Proof of Delivery, and Inspection Copy Requests. • Generate reports for sales analysis and manage the customer database. Handle all customer service inquiries and troubleshoot issues promptly. • Assist the line manager in responding to Editorial Queries and contribute to major projects across the business area. Provide periodic reports to the line manager and distribute task lists to the sales team, ensuring proactive follow-up on work-in-progress tasks. • Regularly coordinate with Agents in Africa and South Africa, scheduling monthly meetings, obtaining their reports, and following up on actionable items to gather relevant market information crucial for the business. • Collaborate with the sales support team in the UK for Inspection Copy Requests and quarterly commission disbursement to agents. • Gather and disseminate sales data for monthly reports, supporting the sales team with internal databases for reporting and information as needed. • Coordinate with the Marketing team, assisting in conferences, and preparing sales materials for vendors and representatives. Conduct author and non-author lead follow-ups in collaboration with the Marketing team. This role is based at our India - New Delhi office. You must have the right to work and live in India. Qualifications Knowledge and Qualifications required: • Good oral and written communication skills • Knowledge of the publishing industry • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint). • Prior experience in a sales support role Skills and behaviours required: • Ability to multi-task, combined with the ability to prioritize and manage time appropriately • Teamwork, networking and relationship building skills • Ability to handle and communicate information sensitively and professionally
