Job Description

  • Champion the project management function to achieve better quality, efficiency and oversight of projects across the business.
  • Acting as a strategic advisor to the leadership team to ensure the alignment of multiple teams to ensure delivery on strategic projects.
  • Identifying issues and risks in a timely manner and developing/implementing appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Reporting on the status of projects, including the payment of projects invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Honours degree in a commercial, science or engineering field.
  • A formal qualification in Project Management such as PMP or Prince2.
  • Technically current and competent - 6-8 years of developing software with at least 3 years leading others on large projects. Currently spends at least 50% of their time writing code and contributing to said projects.
  • Inspires confidence in the team he/she will lead.
  • Understands the business side - can meaningfully contribute to discussions that aren’t purely technical.
  • High level of competency in project management frameworks, tools & methodologies.
