Job Description

  • Works closely with other Department Managers to develop and implement correct policies and processes as well as the introduction of new initiatives and programs.
  • Be the custodian of the correct application and implementation of the operations collective bargaining agreement.
  • Manages the recruitment and selection process.
  • Manages the HR team to ensure smooth operation of the HR function for the Operations.
  • Takes responsibility for the preparation of employment contracts and letters of offer and associated paperwork.
  • Provides ongoing coaching and counseling to managers in HR principles and practices for the effective management of employees.
  • Gives advice on workforce planning, retention programs, and business structure.
  • Ensures timely delivery of accurate data and reports.
  • Manages and is accountable for a team of HR professionals who are responsible for management and maintenance of employee data.
  • Works with management to implement new systems and processes in accordance with company policy.
