Job Description

  • Ensure connection of transhipment in Port Louis on to planned vessel in admire with furnished allocation and timeline set by means of the principals.
  • Ensure machine updates properly completed for all transhipment inside his place of duty.
  • Responsible for proper port and customs documentation and association of transfers in which and when required.
  • Handle logistics administrative tasks and documentation.
  • Execute evacuation of empty packing containers as consistent with plans informed with the aid of the principals (this includes customs documentation, association of transfers, reserving and device coping with).
  • Organize/attend inspections and surveys wherein important.
  • Conduct physical inventories within the depots.
  • Assist the logistics team in imparting sound and secure equipments to customers with the aid of right observe up of depots activities.
  • Assist Operations retailers in the preparation, coordination and reporting of vessel name in his ports:
  • Attend port meetings.
  • Assist the group to coordinate arrival, berthing operations and departure with all inner and external stakeholders (incl. Vessel boarding).
  • Arrange booking of all services and gadget required for the incoming vessels.
  • Ensure recognize of policies and guidelines regarding IMO, Reefers, OOG and Special shipment and make sure proper documentation submitted well timed to ports and government.
  • Ensure the backup of main operational agent and other colleagues at some point of their absence.

Qualification:

  • Bsc or any other equivalent qualification in Logistics.
  • Experience in Shipping and logistics is an advantage.
  • Candidate profile:
  • Familiar with customs approaches;
  • Knowledge in claims dealing with is an advantage but no longer a requirement;
  • Microsoft workplace and web based programs;
  • Basic understanding of transport industry and network (benefit);
  • Basic expertise of customs tactics (gain);
  • Excellent verbal exchange each written and verbal, English and French;
  • Interpersonal abilities;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Analytical and trouble solving;
  • Willing to work bizarre hours;
  • Adaptability and tolerance to strain.
