Initially hand carved in wax to form an organic shape, then moulded into delft clay and sand to make a mould. After researching until blue in the face, chose this Bamboo cutting board set for it's style and the option of using as serving trays. More important for me was the 3-layer structure, juice groove and piece of mind of clean cutting, no plastic. Upon receiving and cleaning, I applied a coat of Food Grade Mineral Oil for safety. These are boards are not real thick but the quality is there and they look really expensive after the oil bath. 3 different sizes are perfect for my need and they look really expensive. Happy with my purchase.
