First, depending on your car model, replacing your cabin air filter is VERY easy. With that out of the way, the shop wanted to charge almost 65 dollars to replace my cabin air filter. Decided to just buy one and do it myself. The only downside of waiting is that the air inside the car is not as fresh/clean when you're running your air. Anyways, you can usually get these kinds of filters between 20-45 dollars from auto part shops depending on the brand and features. I've used this brand and filter for the past 3 replacements on my car and they last just as long and filter just as well from my experience. No issues installing, and does in fact do a good job of filtering outside odors. Highly recommended for the price!

Best cabin filter I've ever used...

After my girlfriend dumped a container of Italian beef juice onto the passenger side floor mat and having it soak into the floor mat and the carpeting, it left my new car stinking of Beef gravy. I bought this to hopefully extract the annoying and horrible smell from my car. The filter is perfectly made and fit with exacting precision and minimal effort. The other side has these wonderful beads of activated charcoal/carbon that are for absorbing odors. I recently installed this cabin air filter in my 2024 4Runner, and it fits perfectly. It does a great job of filtering out the dusty Las Vegas air, leaving the cabin smelling fresh. However, I did notice a slight reduction in Airflow, on the highest blower setting, it feels like the output is about 25% lower than usual. It’s still early to tell how it will perform long term, but so far, it's doing its job well. If you prioritize air quality over maximum airflow, this is a solid choice at a good price too!
