The wallet has a fairly timeless look that easily matches up with many 1930's era souvenir items I have seen despite it likely being newer made. There is some decorative brown vinyl cord around the edge. Vinyl was actually fairly common in Germany in the 1930's so it is not as out of place as some people may think. I really wanted these jeans to fit because I loved the style and the heavier weight with just a touch of stretch. Size 14 should have fit but was huge. High waist is an understatement; the waist hit between my bellybutton and my boobs. The whole body area - waist, butt, crotch was huge. Sad because I liked the look of the legs...just the right amount of width and the length hitting the top of my Chelsea boots (26" exactly, I measured) plus the wide cuff. I'm not sure if going down a size or two will change how high the waist goes.
