There are many pieces to this desk. Read over the instructions carefully, several times before beginning. Once you understand how to assemble, it is fairly easy. It will take some time but, the final outcome is worth it. This is a beautiful two drawer desk that once assembled is very sturdy and functional. I searched for a desk of this size as I needed it to fit in a small nook in my loft. A perfect fit. There is plenty of room for a 15 inch laptop, a mobile phone, mouse pad, and several handheld ham radios. The finish is nice, no defects noted. The two drawers are very roomy and provide storage for pads of paper, staplers, pens, pencils, and other office necessities. As with any desk, I recommend ordering a desk top clear vinyl protector. There are numerous options on Amazon. It will preserve and protect your desktop from scratches and spills. If care is taken, I'm sure this desk will last. I would purchase again.
